    Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest Updates

What’s new with Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Social media is a beast.  It is constantly evolving, reinventing itself, and ultimately switching up the marketing game.  The ever-changing nature of social media marketing makes trying to keep up feel like a rat race.  Between new fads, sites, tools, and innovations, it’s pretty tough to keep track of everything that’s going on.

    The Team’s Holiday Greeting Video—

And Ways You Can Help, To Boot!

Well, here it is mid-January and we’re just now sending out our 2013 Holiday Video/Greeting to our valued Client Mushers, family and friends. Not sure if this is the latest one ever, but we wanted to do it right. Plus, today is the 19th Anniversary of The Team’s first day in operation back in 1996 (for you fact checkers, our actual date of incorporation in Missouri is 1/18/1996, but we started the week as Ad Dogs). 2013 Team Campaign Highlights

It always seems strange when the calendar turns to another number. Sure, there’s always those first few checks, emails, notes where you have to scratch out a “3” and fashion an extra bold “4” in its place.  But even though it’s only a couple days into January, with the weather being very much like December, it really does feel different, doesn’t it? There are definitely some unique opportunities in the works already here at The Team, with at least two of them being very non-traditional for an “ad agency.” Hopefully, more on those in a few months.

As we got ready for the first Team Blog of 2013, er, ’14, we thought we should look back on what was accomplished for key Client Mushers this past year, before moving on to new projects. So, here’s a top line of what we think are the five top, coolest, surprising, fun projects the past 12 months. (more…)

    Paws For A Cause

    Homeless For The Holidays

If you ever start feeling a little sorry for yourself—because you didn’t get that piece of new business, or your fantasy team underperformed, or someone didn’t tell you “good job” on a project, or any myriad of trivial obstacles to your happiness—go volunteer with a local program that helps the homeless in your area. It will change your perspective, and make a big difference. My attitude adjustment happened this past Sunday when The Team handed out winter boots to the homeless at the Veterans Coming Home Center here in Springfield, Missouri.

    The Team’s Strategic Planning Process

Yes, We Do Have A Strategic Planning Process!

Last week I drove up to St. Louis to meet with a current client about helping rebrand two affiliated companies and one recent acquisition. There are a good amount of standard needs on each of these businesses—new corporate identity, positioning, websites (including updating one four-page 1982 site), brochures, lead development, direct marketing, etc. But the client is smart by first engaging a decent amount of time and funding for strategic planning on product strategies, communications, and online/social media (our idea).

The Do’s and Dont’s Of Blogging

Recently The Team helped launch Let’s Go Smart, a community partnership to encourage wiser transportation choices every day in Springfield, Missouri.  The first challenge was to brand the initiative, and then design the look and feel of the website. Now that the site is up and running we are in phase two, expanding our audience.  To do this, we are teaching the client the value of blogging.  (more…)
